bob and shirley one liners
Bob- 1969 "I'll bet you that short hair will be all the rage,...in a few years"
(in response to everyone wanting their hair long like the beatles)
Shirley-1962 "if you think it hurts now,...wait til I get ahold of you, then you'll really know what
H U R T S",....(complaining that someone else hit you or hurt you)
Bob- eternal years "so I suppose if they were gonna jump off a cliff, you'd jump too, huh"?
(after following bad advise from one of your friends)
both - all years "what the hell were you thinking"!!!!!
(after one of my many screw ups)
both - "you can go next time, when you get older"
(reasoning why you couldn't go to an event that older siblings got to go to)
Bob - "I need 3 people to go to the airport to pick up cars".
Shirley - "Dad needs 3 people to go to the airport to pick up cars".

I'm back in Boston and trying out the blog. Thanks, Sheelah!
Some of you may know that our Mike has volunteered his kidney to his childhood friend, Sean Toomey. Mike has passed the first level of testing to determine if he is a match for Sean (He is) and now there is testing going on to be sure that Mike's own health will not be compromised if he becomes an organ donor. He does not yet have the final green light, but he will know in a few days if he will fly from San Francisco to Boston Sep 8,9,10 for three days of full medical exams at the Lahey Clinic where the transplant will take place. If he's a "go" after that, the surgery will be the following week of Sep 15.

Sean is a wonderful friend with a great family. Whether Mike becomes THE donor or not, we are extremely proud of his generosity and courage. We'll keep you posted.

Welcome to the Bear Den
Hi Medveds,
Here's our new blog. See my email to everyone for how to log-in. This doesn't mean I know everything that's going on...or want to! :)
Once you read my log-in email, you can all post to the blog yourself. Hopefully this works well. If not, someone will need to take responsibility to post for the fam.
This past weekend was wonderful, and I hope we can all stay as close as we've become over the past 1/2 year. So please...post away! Keep us updated!
